Quartu, car crashes into a sign: two injured in serious condition

Dramatic road accident during the night in Quartu where a car crashed into the luminous sign of the Sant'Elena Clinic, in via Marconi .

The driver - a 44 year old from Maracalagonis - and the passenger who was at his side - a 31 year old from Quartu - were immediately rescued and taken to the emergency room of the Brotzu and the Policlinico di Monserrato in red code .

Some passing motorists gave the alarm: immediate arrival of the 118 ambulances, the carabinieri of the Quartu mobile unit and the fire brigade .

At dawn, the car, a semi-destroyed Polo, was removed by the men of 115, who also secured the roadway, with the traffic now flowing regularly. The carabinieri, having completed the findings, are now trying to understand the causes of the accident in which no other vehicles were involved.
