Fear erupted this morning along the Quartu coast. On Via Sorrento, in the Sant'Andrea area, a first-floor apartment in a small building caught fire.

The flames were quickly extinguished by firefighters , and the residents were not injured. The worst affected were the family's two dogs, who suffered minor burns and were taken to the San Giuseppe clinic in Cagliari.

According to the fire department's initial reconstruction, the flames originated in the kitchen area where the homeowner, a pregnant woman , was staying. Fortunately, she was not injured. Investigations are underway to determine whether a gas leak caused the fire.

Local residents, drawn by the fire and the sirens of the emergency services, rushed to the scene immediately. An ambulance also arrived , but fortunately, no one was injured and needed to be taken to the hospital.
