Ordinance of the mayor of Villasimius Gianluca D Yes, after the terrible fire of July 28th : the road that allows access by land to the Punta Molentis beach remains closed, with the consequent ban on the transit of pedestrians and vehicles, while the beach reopens, access to which is permitted by sea.

The measure signed by the mayor allows for the return of use of the beach, which was almost completely destroyed by the devastating fire that destroyed approximately 100 hectares of land and about forty beachgoers' cars, nearly 200 of whom were forced to flee by sea.

The Municipality has also ordered the cordoning off of the burned area , which will be marked with appropriate signs. The Local Police have been assigned to monitor the area and may take additional measures "to protect public safety."

Meanwhile, the Forestry Corps' investigation, coordinated by the Cagliari prosecutor's office, continues to track down those responsible for the arson. The forestry department has identified several clues pointing to one or more fuses, while investigators are still investigating the presence of a suspicious car reportedly seen leaving the fire area.
