Psychiatric service, the ASL of Olbia suspends activities

The Olbia Local Health Authority has ordered the suspension of all activities of the Psychiatric Diagnosis and Treatment Service (SPDC) of the Giovanni Paolo II hospital .

Olbia and Gallura lose eight beds, the staff has been diverted to the territorial Mental Health Center.

The staff of the John Paul II department was reduced to the bare minimum.

The trade unions have long been reporting the dramatic situation of the Service, with the very serious consequences for patients and their families. On June 6, the trade unions are summoned to the A office in Olbia for a meeting with the commissioner Ottaviano Contu.
