The most critical situation is in Assemini: « These days we are having big problems with the water supply , particularly in the Santa Lucia neighbourhood (Montelepre), but not only» explains the mayor Mario Puddu .

"The purpose of the midnight-to-6am shutdown is to further fill the city's reservoir, ensuring higher pressure throughout the city, particularly in the "upper zones," where there has been virtually no water for over ten days. I'm not sure that a single night's shutdown will be enough to achieve sufficient pressure," the mayor clarifies. "We have agreed with Abbanoa on a schedule that will presumably have the least impact on the habits of most residents."

Abbanoa, in a statement, explains that " emergency measures that cannot be postponed will be carried out, necessary to balance the water levels in the towns supplied by the Donori water purification plant." Therefore, water supplies will be suspended in Dolianova, Serdiana, and Soleminis from 11:00 PM today until 6:00 AM tomorrow: "There will be drops in pressure and temporary interruptions."
