The Region has decided to endorse the privatization of Cagliari airport and has asked Ligantia F2i to join the future holding company that will manage the capital's airport in Sardinia, along with those in Olbia and Alghero . For a year and a half, Alessandra Todde—as the governor told her allies at the majority meeting, presenting the documents to her allies—has been working with the private investment fund to negotiate the details of the public participation. From today, every day is a good day for the Regional Council to approve the resolution that formally launches the process. The goal is to close the operation in September, reaching a shareholding just under 10% . But doubts remain, even within the Campo largo: Sinistra Futura continues to hold back and asks for time to review the documents: "Nothing has been decided."
"Single management is in our government program," Todde and the party secretaries said when they met in Viale Trento. "We," Giuseppe Meloni, deputy council member and councilor for planning, clarified in accordance with the Democratic Party regulations, "have been supporting the Sardinian airport network since 2013."
Thus, after the 250 million spent since 1990 by the State and the Region to build, enhance and promote the Elmas airport, privatization is ever closer .
The document presented by Todde contains a series of requests from the Region. These include the mandatory legal headquarters in Cagliari for the holding company; the chairmanship of the Board of Auditors; and continued operations at all three airports.
