The Pratobello 24 popular initiative, supported by 211,000 signatures, has been waiting 16 months to begin its journey through the regional council. Now that the process is about to begin, the committees supporting it are calling on politicians to demonstrate once and for all "their desire to defend the island," because—they loudly reiterate— "we do not want to be a colony" where countless wind turbines and solar panels are installed, to the detriment of the land and the environment.

The faces and voices of Pratobello in Alessandra Carta's article in L'Unione Sarda, available now on newsstands and on the Unione Digital app.
