Two years and the Sedda murder case is still open.

On April 1, 2021, the discovery of the body in Porto Torres, at the entrance to the city. Mario Sedda, 39, had been killed a few days earlier with a stab wound to the skull and abandoned behind bushes in a green meadow in via Sassari, near the traffic lights.

From the first findings it seemed a death caused by an illness, but in the following hours it was discovered that the young man had been killed.

A year after his death, the investigation seemed to be at a turning point . Instead, now that two have passed, there is still no culprit. The killer roams the city free, while Sedda's family seeks justice.

His sister Eleonora has promoted initiatives to awaken consciences, a march through the streets of the city to ask for an end to conspiratorial attitudes, a heartfelt letter so that citizens can somehow contribute to the search for the truth about her brother's death. "Today we would like to go back to March 31 two years ago and drag you away from that situation where you were", these are the words in the last message written on his page.

“To be your lifeline like we've been to each other in the past, but there's no going back! To this day it is still unknown who killed you! In Porto Torres your assassins are still roaming quietly, but we don't forget! Hi Mario".

At the moment there are two people registered in the register of suspects, both from Porto Torres. The Ris of Cagliari carried out the checks on the clothes seized from one of the suspects, to assess the compatibility between the traces detected and the victim's DNA.
