A sales network adjustment plan that plans the distribution of commercial activities and aims to regulate the location of shops by product. The Porto Torres Avanti movement is calling for a reorganization of commerce, particularly in the city center. "This city can no longer afford inaction," argue councilors Bastianino Spanu and Costantino Ligas. "City commerce is being suffocated while the city watches, almost resignedly, as the same types of businesses multiply, neighborhoods become deserted, historic shops close, and a port that continues to fail to communicate with the rest of the urban fabric."

The opposition political force is calling for a commercial plan that puts an end to the current anarchy and introduces clear rules, fairness, and effective oversight; an urban strategy capable of connecting the port, historic center, and shopping streets; concrete incentives for those who invest in quality, innovation, and the redevelopment of vacant premises; and a single, structured calendar of events. "And while in other port cities, politicians have had the courage to plan with vibrant historic centers, diversified businesses, redeveloped spaces, ports integrated with commerce, attracting investment and new jobs," argue representatives of Porto Torres Avanti, "here we are witnessing the uncontrolled proliferation of the same commercial categories, a phenomenon that is weakening the city's economic identity."

A change of direction is possible through dialogue between the city administration, retailers, economic operators, the Port Authority, trade associations, and citizens. "For this reason, in the coming weeks we will present an agenda to the City Council to bring the structural critical issues facing the sector to the attention of the Administration and to demand immediate, clear, and lasting action," Spanu and Ligas conclude. "This is a necessary political act, aimed at initiating a serious discussion and developing concrete solutions together with those who, every day, keep their businesses open with sacrifice and determination."
