In Porto Torres there are still episodes of incivility concerning the vast countryside. The last cleaning of the local streets in the area, in particular of via Funtana Cherchi, had just been carried out on 18 September. On that occasion, tons of waste of all kinds had been collected by the company that deals with the garbage collection, abandoned by the usual rude ones.
After just over a month the situation, or rather the bleak picture, is back as before. In fact, small illegal landfills have sprung up everywhere, so much so that this morning an extraordinary cleaning of the area had to be carried out, which became even more necessary in view of the anniversary of the Commemoration of the dead, given the presence in the countryside of the new cemetery.
"They come from all over to unload and abandon any kind of object and they feel unpunished," the residents say in chorus.
From the Porto Torres Environment Office they let it be known that "the tender for the purchase of mobile surveillance cameras to be installed in the countryside will be completed by 31 December".
