A switchblade was found in the car door pocket at the port of Turritano. The man, a German tourist traveling with his family, was reported by officers from the Fixed Police Station.
It happened yesterday evening, Monday, July 13, around 8:00 PM, as the tourist, accompanied by his wife and daughter, was preparing to board the scheduled ferry connecting the port of Genoa with the port of Turri. Upon seeing the security guards, they began to show signs of nervousness, so they conducted a more thorough search between the seats and the car compartment. Police officers were then called to intervene, and they found a switchblade hidden in the door pocket. In recent days, an Italian tourist had been stopped at boarding and reported at large by police officers for being found in possession of a telescopic truncheon hidden under the seat of his car. Two Austrian tourists were also intercepted at the port after routine checks revealed they were in possession of pepper spray.
