The community of Porto Torres is deeply shocked by the tragic death of Emanuele Sorci, the 51-year-old worker who died in a car accident on the former State Road 131 , the road connecting Sassari to the town of Porto Torres. A final farewell will be held on Monday, October 5th at 11:30 a.m. in the Basilica of San Gavino, where the funeral will be held.

The man, a former Vinyls employee, crashed his Nissan Qashqai into a guardrail Friday morning around 12:30 p.m. at kilometer 222, near the Monte D'Accoddi plant. The violent impact caused him severe injuries. He underwent delicate surgery and died yesterday afternoon due to his critical condition. The ongoing investigation will determine the exact circumstances and reasons why the young man lost control of the vehicle.

Many messages of condolence have been posted on social media, and the football club has also expressed its support for Sorci's family, extending its condolences to goalkeeping coach Giovanni Casali "for the painful loss of his brother-in-law." Friends say, "Emanuele was a man with a big heart." He leaves behind a wife and two daughters.
