He landed at the port of Porto Torres with 2.5 kilograms of cocaine on board his car . The man, a 49-year-old Spaniard , was arrested by the Guardia di Finanza ( Yellow Flames) of the Porto Torres Company, engaged in economic control operations in the area to combat illicit trafficking organized by the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza in Sassari.
During disembarkation from the ship from Toulon, the financial police, in collaboration with officials from the local department of the Sassari Customs and Monopolies Agency, stopped a suspicious vehicle carrying a man. The drugs were seized, and the 49-year-old was arrested in flagrante delicto and handed over to the judicial authorities, who ordered his transfer to Bancali prison on charges of possession and international transportation of narcotics.
