From the post office to the football pitch together with the greatest football champions. Poste Italiane participated with its national football team in the sixth edition of the Trento Sports Festival, taking to the pitch for the "Big Match", the friendly match with the Festival Legends, the team with many champions such as Luca Toni, Andrea Barzagli, Massimo Oddo, Simone Barone, Cristian Zaccardo, Aldair and Nelson Dida, and then Gigi Di Biagio, Christian Panucci, Nicola Amoruso, Angelo Carbone, Dario Marcolin, Serginho and Alessandro Matri.

Among those summoned was also Pietro Ginesu , an employee of Poste Italiane, originally from Milis and serving in the Bauladu post office .

«Being called up by the Postal National team – he says – is always a wonderful experience and a source of great pride and to this, today, we add the pleasure of having faced great champions of the past on the field: for me, who come from amateur football, it is a which is incredible. Furthermore, the meetings with the National Post Office, as well as the internships, give me the opportunity to meet colleagues who come from all over Italy and to discuss with them, not only in the field, but also on work issues".

«On the field then – concludes the Poste employee – I try to put the same passion that distinguishes me in my work at the counter and in my relationship with customers: it is fundamental if you want to bring home the result».

After the 3-3 draw at the end of the regulation minutes, the Poste Italiane national team prevailed on penalties 9-8. The Poste Italiane national football team was founded in 2019 with the aim of promoting aggregation and the spirit of belonging among employees and to create events, solidarity initiatives and fundraising for charitable purposes through football. «It is made up of registered employees at an amateur level who come from all over Italy - says Poste Italiane - and has the aim of promoting sport as a vehicle for integration and cohesion between colleagues to encourage team spirit, spreading a message of participation and fair competition."
