A person entered Miguel Angel Paez's house, saw the man dying in a pool of blood, and did not call 911.

This is another shocking fact regarding the crime of February 3, 2024 , which emerged today in the trial held before the judges of the Sassari Assize Court. Argentine chef Miguel Angel Paez, 70, was beaten to death and left in agony in the living room of his apartment on Via Marche, Olbia.

Michael Brundu, Giuliano Petta, and Alex Russo are accused of murder. The picture painted by prosecutor Mancini, based on the investigations of the Olbia Carabinieri, heard in court today, is extremely serious. Paez was allegedly robbed on January 23, 2024, by Brundu, along with other unidentified individuals. On February 3, he was then savagely beaten and left near death. He died in the hospital after months of agony.

But today it emerged that another person, an acquaintance of the victim, entered the apartment on Via Marche in the hours following the beating and saw Paez in agony without asking for help or raising the alarm.

The Tempio Pausania Prosecutor's Office has opened another file concerning this very circumstance.

The three individuals under investigation for voluntary manslaughter are being represented by lawyers Cristina Cherchi, Adriano Catte, and Maria Eleonora Bianco. Michael Brundu and Giuliano Petta are in prison, while Alex Russo is under house arrest. It also emerged today that Brundu entered the victim's home several times, while Russo did not directly participate in the beating.
