The town of Osilo continues to record new centenarians. After Maria Federici, who recently turned 100, the century mark has been reached by another Osilo resident, Angela Mulas, who, sustained by her lifelong noble values, has blown out 100 candles.

Mayor Giovanni Ligios, along with the City Council, visited her to offer her warmest wishes and to present her with a commemorative plaque on behalf of the entire City Council. The mayor wrote: "Those who reach the age of one hundred, after all, can truly preserve the harmony that only time can forge."

Data provided by the Municipal Registry Office confirms the longevity of the people of Osili, which, in addition to the centenarians, records nine people between the ages of 95 and 99, while another 36 are between 90 and 94.

This downward trend is accompanied by the population decline—2,774 inhabitants in 2025—that the municipality of Osilo has experienced since the late 1950s, when the population reached its all-time high of 6,244. Since the beginning of the new year 2026, two women in the town have reached the age of 100.
