This morning, Carabinieri, police, and forest rangers gathered in the Su Barone pine forest to ensure compliance with the precautionary seizure order recently issued by the Nuoro Public Prosecutor's Office.
It should be noted that the seizure only concerns access and parking with vehicles and not the use of the pine forest, which is guaranteed to all, albeit without the permanent positioning of equipment from one day to the next, which, in the absence of the owners, will be removed.
Surveillance covered all access points to the nature reserve, with the aim of managing the large influx of tourists typical during the August bank holiday period and effectively preventing unauthorized parking, especially within the restricted area where the fire risk is considered high.
The introduction and parking of vehicles in the area subject to seizure , which coincides with the entire pine forest excluding the spaces provided for parking, makes the offenders responsible for violating seals , a criminal offence.
Law enforcement checks will continue throughout the summer season.
