Orosei, the fire at Sos Alinos has resumed: the flames were reignited by the wind.

After approximately 100 hectares went up in smoke yesterday , the fire that had been causing concern in the Sos Alinos area has restarted in the last few hours, fueled by the north wind. The flames have reignited in the same area previously affected, particularly near Su Crastu Marzellino.

At the moment, the situation is not as critical as it was during the most dramatic hours of the emergency , but it remains under close monitoring by firefighting teams. Yesterday, 150 people were evacuated and 60 homes were cleared as a precaution .

A Canadair, two helicopters, and numerous ground teams are on site , working to clear the fire and now contain the flames and monitor the area to prevent further outbreaks.

Meanwhile, the Forestry Corps is investigating the nature of the fire, which started yesterday in the Su Crastu Marzellino area. The possibility of arson is being examined by investigators and is becoming increasingly likely .

In this regard, the authorities are appealing to the public : anyone who has noticed suspicious activity, or who has images from private video surveillance systems, is asked to cooperate with law enforcement by providing information useful to the investigation. Every detail could prove crucial in identifying those responsible.

The situation remains constantly monitored, while clean-up and containment operations continue with the aim of preventing a new fire front .
