The Tirso bridge leaving Oristano closes again, this time in the middle of summer.
From Monday, and for at least two weeks, traffic will be diverted and inconveniences will be expected. Four months after the last intervention, which made it necessary to ban traffic for three weeks, the viaduct that connects the capital to the Rimedio village needs new attention. The inspections carried out in mid-June had left no room for many doubts: four more expansion joints to replace.
Both lanes of provincial road 54 (the right one had already been closed for a stretch for months) will be closed to traffic and traffic (considerably more intense in the summer months) will be diverted towards Viale Repubblica and the Brabau bridge for those who have to reach the seaside resorts or the centers of Sinis.
Unlike last time, the provincial road 93, the one that runs alongside the Porta Nuova shopping center, will not be one-way. However, vehicles with a fully loaded mass exceeding 3.5 tonnes will be prohibited from circulating. coming from the direction Oristano – Silì (via Vandalino Casu – via Nazionale).
In order to facilitate traffic exiting and entering the city of Oristano on Monday, the closing operations of the new bridge over the Tirso and the limitation of traffic on the northern ring road of Oristano will begin after 9am.
