There's no peace for Mayor Massimiliano Sanna. After weeks of tension over the limited traffic zone and parking, a new front has emerged within the ruling coalition: the Sardinian Action Party is once again demanding the presidency of the Oristano Foundation and issuing an ultimatum that could trigger a political crisis as early as September.

The meeting, convened to review the ZTL (limited traffic zone) and the reorganization of paid parking, apparently took a different turn when the provincial secretary of the PSDAz, Domenico Gallus, brought the Oristano Foundation back to the forefront of the debate. The Quattro Mori party is demanding the appointment of its own representative to lead the organization, while the presidency remains with Carlo Cuccu, who has since moved to Forza Italia.

According to leaks, Gallus, who is hiding behind a laconic "no comment," has posed a real ultimatum to his allies: resolve the issue by September or acknowledge the rift. If the situation doesn't resolve itself, the PSDAz is ready to withdraw its councilor from the council and the support of the two city councilors, seriously jeopardizing the balance of power within the majority.

Administrative matters would have remained secondary on the agenda. The summit would have given the political green light to the external tender for the management of paid parking, with a reduction of approximately 200 blue spaces. For the ZTL, the goal remains to begin the experimental phase after the summer, as soon as the final amendments to the resolution are approved.
