Oristano, Municipality Crisis: Is Sanna's Administration Heading to Zero?

A complete overhaul of the Sanna government to overcome the crisis. This is the hypothesis gaining momentum following the center-right political meeting convened yesterday in Oristano to attempt to mend the internal rift over the limited traffic zone. Very little information has filtered out from the leadership, but Mayor Massimiliano Sanna's intention is to reshuffle the entire government to resolve the conflict without indicating winners or losers.
The meeting came after a week of intense discussions . The mayor met individually with the majority parties, but was unable to reach a consensus: they all remained firm in their positions.
The crisis erupted with the request for the removal of Urban Planning Councilor Ivano Cuccu, advanced by the Brothers of Italy, Union of the Center, and the Sardinian Action Party. The focus was on the acceleration of the ZTL (limited traffic zone), deemed a breach of the policy agreed upon in November, when the decision to implement the changes was made after internal discussions.
However, it remains to be seen which path will actually be taken: a complete overhaul of the executive, which would put everyone on the same level, or a limited replacement of one or a few councilors, a solution that would risk creating new internal tensions.
Starting tomorrow, the parties are expected to present their proposals to the mayor , formally opening the negotiation phase.
The underlying issue remains: whether to maintain the current distribution of responsibilities or reshape it in light of the new political weight gained in the Council after nearly four years in office and a completely changed council geography.
