"We reserve the right to take appropriate action to protect the rights of the minors involved." This is a clear warning, written in black and white by the parents of a class at the Via Campania preschool, who report a situation described as "serious criticality" and demand immediate intervention from the municipal administration.
The report focuses on the classroom's condition: "Water leaks from the roof, caused by recent heavy rainfall , have made the environment unsafe and potentially dangerous for the safety of minors and school staff."
This issue has been dragging on for weeks and has already had tangible consequences for the school system. Since February, children have been housed in the common room. This temporary solution, according to families, "does not guarantee optimal conditions, either in terms of safety or in terms of teaching and organization."
Concern is especially growing over the presence in the classroom of students with certified disabilities, for whom "suitable, safe, and adequately structured environments are necessary." The document explicitly mentions a possible "concrete risk to the health and safety of minors" and a situation that could constitute "a violation of the right to an adequate school environment." Hence the call for urgent action to restore spaces that comply with regulations. In the absence of a rapid response, parents are ready to move from words to action.
