The checks, with the help of video surveillance systems and soon even a drone, will concern uncultivated land, hedges that invade the sidewalks, indiscriminate abandonment and irregular transfer of waste, respect for parks and green areas, but also the management of dogs and the use of bicycles and scooters in pedestrian areas.
«We extend a hand to those who want to collaborate and respect the rules, but we are ready to sanction those who do not respect them - explains Sanna - The Municipality has been investing in communication and environmental education campaigns for years and it cannot be said that the tolerance, but now we need to give a strong signal to those who don't accept the rules".
«Failure to take care of green areas, especially in summer, can favor fires, the proliferation of insects and rodents, but at any time of the year we discover illegal dumps, roads littered with animal excrement, hedges that invade the sidewalks, preventing the passage of those with movement disorders - adds Zedda - The local police agents will start the administrative sanctions for the most serious situations ranging from a minimum of 25 to a maximum of 500 euros .
