In Oristano, the Feast of the Holy Cross once again brings together the city's two souls: devotion and popular celebration. The first event is on Monday, September 14th, with celebrations in the Church of San Francesco and an evening dedicated to music and folk groups.

The day will open with Masses at 7:30, 9:30 and 11:00, during which the relic of the true Cross of Jesus will be displayed. In the afternoon, at 6:00 pm, there will be a moment of prayer with the Rosary and sung Vespers, and at 7:00 pm, the solemn concelebration presided over by the Archbishop of Oristano Roberto Carboni, accompanied by the City of Oristano Choir directed by Maestro Carrus.

Then, as evening approaches, the celebration moves to the Foro Boario in Piazza Pintus. From 9:30 pm, the stage will be dedicated to Sardinian tradition, with the Ittiri Cannedu Cultural and Folkloric Association, Enrico Fiori's Is Froris Folk Group, and the San Gemiliano Folk Group from Sestu. An evening of costumes, music, and dance will not stop at the show: after the performances, there will be dancing in the square with Vanni Masala.

The celebrations conclude on Tuesday, September 15th, again at the Foro Boario, starting at 9:30 pm, with "Quelli degli anni 60-70," a show dedicated to the music of those years. The Municipality's initiative thus complements the religious celebrations of the Holy Cross, promoted by the Church of San Francesco, with a program that alternates moments of faith with opportunities for gatherings and entertainment.
