She moved to Oristano for love in 1956 and never left. And right here, surrounded by the affection of her 4 children and two grandchildren, Solange and Ermes, who came especially from Rome and Bologna, Anna Elia blew out one hundred candles.
Born in Magisano (Catanzaro) on November 8, 1924, at 14 she moved to Rome where in 1951 she married Delio Zedda, an army marshal originally from Domusnovas. Formidable in the kitchen and very involved in social work with various volunteer associations, Mrs. Anna celebrated the enviable milestone in the presence of the mayor Massimiliano Sanna and his deputy, Maria Bonaria Zedda, who donated a commemorative plaque on behalf of the city community.
“Her generosity as a blood donor earned her a gold medal,” reads a note from the Municipality. “A sunny and always very cheerful woman, she loved parties and had a predilection for the music of Renato Carosone, for Renato Rascel, for the films of Stanlio and Ollio and Totò, as well as a particular admiration for Amedeo Nazzari and Gary Cooper.”
