A sports and education campus to replace the former media center on Via Santu Lussurgiu: this is the proposal put forward by the center-left minority and brought before the Oristano City Council. The goal is clear: to revitalize the building and transform it into a space that combines education, sports, and inclusion. "Not just a simple facility, but a hub open 24/7, serving students and the community," explains first signatory Umberto Marcoli .

The motion commits the mayor and city council to attract regional, national, and European funding, with a focus on urban regeneration, school buildings, and inclusive policies. The project includes a multifunctional facility : a modern gym for school and community activities, study spaces for students—including commuters—and spaces for after-school activities.

The plan also includes a guesthouse for athletes and delegations, conference rooms for events and a museum of Oristano sports that showcases local protagonists, from Lorenzo Patta to Alessia Orro and Stefano Oppo .

The campus will collaborate with the sports science high school and the city's schools, opening its spaces to teaching and workshops. "We want to create a place where sport, education, and inclusion truly come together," adds Marcoli. Among the goals are the ongoing involvement of federations, associations, and coaches to host retreats, internships, and events.
