The Oristano City Council, which resumed its session after the summer recess in the new council chamber set up within the walls of the Teatro San Martino, was marked by a series of announcements. The first part of the meeting was filled with a flurry of announcements: Mayor Massimiliano Sanna introduced the new Councilor for Public Works, Gianfranco Licheri, and announced that his predecessor, Simone Prevete, would be taking over the responsibilities for Culture and Budget.

Changes have also taken place within the majority: Davide Tatti, Gianfranco Licheri, and the new councilor Giulia Solinas, who replaced the councilor, have officially joined the Sardinian Action Party. Gianfranco Porcu and Gian Michele Guiso, who left the Quattro Mori party to join Forza Italia, fared differently. Within Forza Italia, Paolo Angioi and Valeria Carta, long at odds with the party, have announced their voluntary suspension, declaring themselves independent.

The session opened with a minute's silence in memory of Lia Dettori Aiello, the first female mayor of Oristano, who led the city between September 1984 and July 1985. "A brief, but intense and significant experience, which remains in the collective memory today," Sanna emphasized. A Council, therefore, marked by political changes and the memory of historic figures of the city.
