Threatening and disturbing writings have appeared on the walls of Orgosolo , in the Sa Costa area, in the upper part of the town near San Michele, causing great concern.

The messages, with heavy and threatening tones, are addressed to the mayor Pasquale Mereu , known for his commitment to promoting legality and defending the rights of the territory. “ Resign” is the most direct phrase that appears in one of the writings, accompanied by a series of disturbing symbols, including five crosses drawn in sequence , with the image of a head pierced by a knife . The message, despite the ambiguity of who wrote it, leaves little room for interpretation and highlights the seriousness of the threat. Another writing reads: “You are a disgrace”, an insult that adds further tension to the episode.

This new threat comes after the intimidation of the head of Forestas , another episode that marked the beginning of a series of disturbing acts in the country.

Pasquale Mereu, mayor of Orgosolo, is known for his strong commitment against energy speculation and against the wind assault that threatens the territory, battles that have seen him on the front line alongside the activists of Pratobello 24, a group that fights for the protection of the environment and against projects that could damage the local ecosystem.

The police immediately intervened, starting investigations to try to shed light on the incident.

At the moment, investigations are still ongoing and, in the utmost confidentiality, they are trying to understand the origin of the writings.
