Seven students too few to keep it open. The City of Cagliari closes the Ada Negri preschool on Via Castagne Vizza, in the Is Mirrionis neighborhood.

The decision was made by the City Council, a choice that is part of the school sizing plan, or the reorganization of schools following the demographic decline according to parameters established at the national level.

In Cagliari, this is the only "school network rationalization project" this year, meaning it's the only closure . The school belongs to the Giusy Devinu Comprehensive Institute.

The decision was justified by the number of students enrolled, which was well below the parameters indicated by the guidelines: "In the previous school year, only 7 students were enrolled," the documents state, "who had already been helpfully relocated to the nursery school on Via Brianza, just 200 meters away."

The building has already been partially repurposed: "It was urgently designated to house the Strakrash neighborhood center following a serious fire in the premises where it previously housed it." The center offers activities for children and young people, families, and adults.
