Almost one and a half quintal of fish not suitable for sale seized in a well-known restaurant in the area of Baja Sardinia , in Arzachena.
In action the personnel of the Coast Guard of La Maddalena , which is carrying out a series of checks on the fishing chain in the commercial establishments of Gallura.
During these checks it was found that over 20 kg of bluefin tuna from illegal capture and over 120 kg of fish products (swordfish, scampi, octopus, walnut truffle, crabs, squid, lobsters, lobster , sea bream, razor clams, prawns, scallops, sea bass) frozen without traceability .
The restaurant owner was therefore subjected to high administrative penalties for a total amount of 3800 euros .
"The control activities on the fishing industry will continue in the coming days - says the Commander of the Port Authority of La Maddalena Renato Signorini - to ensure compliance with current legislation and for consumer protection, for the benefit of the community".
