The cases of Omicron in Sardinia rise to 23.
To the five identified in recent days - three of which in Cagliari - another 18 have been added in these hours, found in Sassari and other centers in Northern Sardinia.
Therefore, also on the island, concern remains high for the spread of the new variant of Covid, more contagious. An alarm that concerns all of Italy, where various regions risk - precisely due to the surge in infections due to Omicron - of leaving the white area to go into the yellow band.
Meanwhile, the Sardinia Region has released the numbers on the vaccination campaign on the island ( READ THE REPORT ), which began exactly one year ago.
In twelve months, the total administrations at the regional level touched three million, with an overall coverage of 79.2% (at national level it is 78%), but - on the other hand - there are still more than 171 thousand Sardinians (excluding children) who they did not even receive a dose, with a percentage of no vax in central age which in Sardinia is higher than the Italian average.
"In one year we have scored important results - the comment of the governor Christian Solinas - but Covid still represents a threat due to the spread of the new variants and the battle is not yet won".
