The Tempio Prosecutor's Office's Public Prosecutor, Sara Martino, has ordered the seizure of the bridge from which the car carrying Omar Masia fell last Sunday. The magistrate is leading the investigation into the crime of vehicular homicide.
The seizure order was executed by the Carabinieri of the Tempio Mobile Radio Unit. Investigations are ongoing to determine ownership of the property: the seizure was also carried out at the request of Giovanni Azzena and Gerolamo Orecchioni, lawyers for the man who was driving the BMW and is under investigation for vehicular homicide.
Carabinieri personnel also inspected another bridge, also on the road where the tragedy occurred, which has a guardrail, unlike the one where the tragedy occurred, which is protected only by crumbling iron structures.
According to the latest investigations, the road could be a consortium project. In any case, the bridge has already been determined to be part of public water resources and could fall under the jurisdiction of the Region or the State.
