Mohamed Abdou Elchodary , the twenty-year-old Egyptian arrested by the Carabinieri on charges of having stabbed Pietro Sciusco from Puglia to death, denies everything.
The young man spoke at the Carabinieri station in Olbia, denying all charges. According to the little that has emerged from the investigation, Elchodary has been in Olbia for a few months, having arrived in Gallura from Rome. He is homeless, unemployed, and allegedly using cocaine (a circumstance still to be verified). After stabbing Sciusco in the central Corso Umberto, he took refuge in a construction site of a house under renovation on Via Genova . Carabinieri investigators, led by Colonel Nicola Pilia, are seeking a motive for the fight that ended with the stabs aimed at the victim's chest. It has not been ruled out that Mohamed Abdou Elchodary and Pietro Sciusco argued under the influence of alcohol and drugs . The Egyptian man's lawyers, Aurora Masu and Giuseppe De Meo, have not commented. The Egyptian man has been transferred to Bancali, and the investigation is being coordinated by prosecutor Noemi Mancini.
