A worker who was performing work on a yacht fell several meters , for reasons yet to be determined. After the alarm was raised, emergency services responded to the scene and transported him to the hospital. The man's condition was less serious than initially reported.

Following the incident, the CGIL Gallura union issued a statement, which reads: "We express our deep concern and sympathy to the worker injured this morning at a shipyard in Olbia, where, according to initial information, a worker fell while working on a yacht. The man was immediately rescued by medical personnel who responded to the scene, along with law enforcement, who are conducting all necessary investigations to clarify the circumstances of the accident and determine any liability. Once again, we are faced with a dramatic episode that forcefully highlights the issue of workplace safety. It is unacceptable that in 2026, we continue to work in conditions that can put people's lives at risk. Behind every accident are workers, families, and communities experiencing moments of anguish and suffering."

The local Spresal has started investigations into the accident.
