Carabinieri operation in Olbia to combat drug trafficking.

Two people, two truck drivers from Nuoro, were stopped in the port of Isola Bianca and taken to the police station under arrest.

According to the charges filed by the Tempio Prosecutor's Office, the two had in their truck approximately 42 kilos of cocaine, divided into 37 blocks of over 1 kg each, sealed with adhesive tape.

The drugs , discovered also thanks to the nose of the Guardia di Finanza canine unit on duty at the port, were hidden in a cavity in the bodywork of the vehicle.

Investigations are underway to identify the recipients of the drugs .
