Shortly after 8:30 this morning, a violent road accident occurred on the outskirts of Nuoro, in via Macciotta, near the amphitheatre curve, a particularly treacherous stretch due to the steep slope.
Involved in the collision were an Alfa Romeo Giulia and a Ford Focus, which collided head-on or sideways (details still to be clarified) right at the critical point of the curve.
According to an initial reconstruction, the accident may have been caused by an inadequate trajectory on the part of one of the two vehicles, a hypothesis being examined by the local police who immediately intervened on the scene.
Fortunately, despite the violence of the impact, the occupants of the two vehicles suffered only minor injuries. They were nevertheless transported to the hospital for checks, but their conditions are not worrying.
