Nuoro, car crashes into a pylon: mother and 17-year-old daughter in red code

Dramatic accident on Monday evening in via delle Frasche in Nuoro, where a Fiat Panda carrying a woman and her 17-year-old daughter ended up violently against a pylon , probably due to a mechanical failure. Both were then rescued and transported to the hospital with a red code.

The impact was so violent that the female driver remained trapped inside the passenger compartment . It was the firefighters who extracted her from the wreckage after a complex operation.

Mother and daughter were then entrusted to the care of medical personnel and rushed to the emergency room.

The police, who arrived later, are now investigating to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the incident. It remains to be clarified whether it was a technical failure or a driver's illness.

The stretch of road is closed to traffic to allow for rescue operations and surveys.
