The clinical condition of the 12-year-old girl involved in a serious road accident on September 22nd near Nuoro has dramatically worsened. According to health sources, the medical commission was convened this morning to begin procedures to determine brain death.

The young woman, recently transferred from San Francesco Hospital in Nuoro to the Bambino Gesù Children's Hospital in Rome, underwent delicate neurosurgery and was admitted to pediatric intensive care. The three-car accident occurred on the road leading to the city of Nuoro, resulting in ten injuries, including the young girl, who was immediately listed in critical condition.

His clinical conditions, initially stable after the surgery, have worsened in the last few hours, leading to today's decision to initiate the legally required process for determining brain death, which requires repeated clinical, instrumental, and neurological examinations over a period of at least six hours.
