The demonstrations organized in Settimo San Pietro to commemorate the tragedy of 40 years ago with the victim of an entire family (Piero Mura, his wife Anna Maria and their two sons Giacomo and Gian Vincenzo) traveling by car on the 131 have ended.
Many visitors to the photographic exhibition set up by Claudio Mura (Piero's brother), with photos of the Arci Uisp sports club which was a protagonist in the seventies and eighties in the athletics sector and in particular in running. In this context, a road race reserved for all categories took place yesterday.
It was a day of sport but also of popular participation: follow all the running races that took place over several hours in a street circuit. Champions of the moment such as Elisabetta Orrù, Alberto Sulis, Valerio Caredda, Mario Lagana joined and put on a show. Among the participants also Raffaele Floris, 78 years old, arrived from Turin to participate in the seven kilometers. A very successful program that will certainly be repeated in the coming years.
