The former home of the parish priest of Sant'Efisio, one of the symbolic sites of the historic May Festival, will be entrusted to the Municipality of Pula for management. The property, located in Nora but owned by the Municipality of Cagliari, will be granted free use to host some key moments of the celebration.
The aim of the agreement , sanctioned by a resolution of the Cagliari City Council and the subject of an agreement between the two administrations , is to promote and enhance the Cammino di Sant'Efisio : the structure—adjacent to the church dedicated to the saint, which has already undergone safety improvements worth €500,000 allocated by the Metropolitan City—will be used for pilgrim reception services and activities related to the religious-tourist route . It is also planned to be used as an exhibition space.
The Municipality of Pula has already completed some renovation work, but will need to undertake routine and extraordinary maintenance, renovations, and regulatory and technological upgrades to ensure its preservation and enhancement, including for its inclusion in the future Nora archaeological park.
