Protests have begun in Alta Gallura against the wind farm project presented by the Trynyty company.
The project, consisting of six wind turbines, will affect the areas of Calangianus, Sant'Antonio, Olbia, and Telti. The company has begun the process to obtain approval for the wind turbines, with the initiation of the environmental impact assessment procedure.
The mayor of Calangianus, Fabio Albieri, has announced that an extraordinary session of the City Council will be convened for next week.
Albieri declared: "We oppose it because it is not an ecological transition but an industrial assault on our landscape and environmental heritage."
Sant'Antonio Mayor Carlo Viti has called an open City Council meeting for Friday, July 10th, dedicated to the wind farm. Viti has announced a series of legal initiatives to combat the installation of wind turbines, some located on agritourism farms.
