As required by the Metropolitan City's ordinance, Terna's construction sites for the Tyrrhenian Link, the underwater electricity connection that will connect Sardinia, Sicily, and Campania, along the coastal road to Villasimius, in the Quartu area between Marina Residence and Terra Mala, will be completed by July 3. There will be no extension, as road users feared. This is good news for vacationers who need to reach the beaches, but also and especially for residents of the Quartu area who travel that road every day.

However, the situation is different for Via Dell'Autonomia Regionale Sarda and Via S'Ecca S'Arrideli, also in the Quartu area, where work will continue until July 31st, with full traffic opening on weekends, except for minor repairs.

The Metropolitan City has reviewed Terna's work, which, in addition to Quartu, also affects the municipalities of Quartucciu, Maracalagonis, Sinnai, and Settimo San Pietro, where it involves some of the main road arteries.

"The Metropolitan City of Cagliari, in constant communication with Terna and the municipal administrations involved, is fully aware of the inconvenience these interventions may cause to road users," explains Deputy Mayor Barbara Pusceddu. "For this reason, we continue to carefully monitor the progress of the work, ensuring that the work proceeds on schedule and ensures maximum safety for traffic."

Regarding the progress of the work on the SP 15 in the Maracalagonis, Quartucciu, Sinnai, and Settimo sections, the work will continue no later than July 31st, but with construction sites closed on weekends.
