A new day, a new alert for this summer of 2026 in Sardinia. The regional Civil Protection Department's warning for hydrogeological risk due to thunderstorms (yellow) , valid until midnight, affects the entire island except Sulcis and Oristano.

But the most intense phenomena, with locally very strong thunderstorms – a frequent phenomenon in recent days – are expected above all in the eastern sectors, with Baronia, Ogliastra and Sarrabus particularly affected.

Generally, partly cloudy skies are expected on the island. Clouds will form in the southeastern sector, extending to the southern sector from the afternoon until the evening, with precipitation that may include thunderstorms and locally moderate cumulative amounts.
Minimum temperatures will decrease slightly, while maximum temperatures will moderately increase in the northern and central sectors, slightly decreasing in the southern sector".
