The trial of 44-year-old Eugenio Corona , guilty of the murder of the pensioner Adolfo Musini, killed in May 2019 in the apartment on the first floor of the building between piazza Valsassina and via Lucania in Cagliari ends with the sentence of 28 years in prison with about fifty stab wounds.
The sentence was pronounced this morning by the Assize Court of Appeal presided over by Judge Massimo Poddighe (on the side Claudia Belelli) and reduced the sentence imposed on the accused in first instance by two years. The agreement proposal reached by the Attorney General Giancarlo Moi and the defense attorney Antonella Piredda was accepted, therefore there will be no appeal to the Supreme Court.
Corona, suffering from health and psychological problems, even serious due to the use and abuse of alcohol and drugs, as recognized in the first instance, had entered the house climbing the gas pipes and, once inside, had killed the owner of the house, took a thousand euros and ran away. The man also had to answer for the attempted murder of Ivano Marci, seriously injured the night before his arrest, again for robbery and always in San Michele but in via Podgora.
Confirmed the provisional payment recognized to the relatives of the victims, represented by the lawyers Ivo Loi, Mauro Massa and Barbara Maganuco.
