The Regional Administrative Court of Sardinia rejected the appeal presented by Niside Muscas , a candidate for mayor defeated in the first round of voting in the municipal elections of Assemini last May and excluded from the June ballot by nine votes : 22 of the ballots then canceled by the municipality's electoral commission , and which according to the candidate contained votes to be attributed to her, were reviewed by the director of the electoral office of the Prefecture of Cagliari.
The latter had filed his report with the TAR, complete with detailed minutes and the originals of the re-examined forms.
The judges, after the hearing on Wednesday 13th, today made their decision known: the appeal is declared inadmissible and rejected . A decision that confirms the validity of the counting, and therefore of the run-off in which Mario Puddu had defeated Diego Corrias, obtaining the election as mayor of Assemini.
