A motorcyclist was seriously injured this morning after falling off his motorbike while travelling on the Alghero-Bosa road.

The man, a 52-year-old, lost control of the vehicle and suffered fractures, injuries and various other traumas as a result of the fall. Given the severity of the injuries, the intervention of the 118 emergency helicopter was necessary to transport him to the Santissima Annunziata hospital in Sassari.

The local police officers of Alghero also intervened on site and carried out surveys of the accident.
