Sardinia is still burning . Today alone, 16 fires were recorded on the island, one of which was in Maracalagonis , in the Ireddu area. The firefighting operations were coordinated by personnel from the Sinnai Forestry Corps Station , assisted by the GAUF CFVA of Cagliari and the helicopter crew from the CFVA base in Villasalto.

Two teams from the Forestas Agency from the Sinnai-Sa Pira and Burcei-Campu Omu construction sites, a team of civil protection volunteers from Quartu SE-Nos, a team from the Maracalagonis barracelli and the Fire Brigade intervened on site.

The fire affected several hectares of Mediterranean scrub, causing concern among local residents.
