The smartphones of the three suspects are under scrutiny by investigators who want to shed full light on the circumstances that led to the death of Leonardo Mocci , the 23-year-old killed with a gunshot to the chest in Monserrato on the night of April 23.
On May 12, 19, and 22, unrepeatable technical tests will be carried out on the computer devices seized from Daniel Campus, 22, from Quartu, and Gianmarco and Filippo Tunis, brothers aged 24 and 20, from Pirri , under investigation for aggravated voluntary homicide and robbery.
Attorney Fabio Basile, representing the victim's family, has announced the possibility of appointing Dr. Gabriele Pitzianti as his consultant. Attorneys Alberto Pani and Francesca Mannai, representing Campus, and attorney Riccardo Floris, representing the Tunis brothers, may also pursue this option.
Among the computer devices seized by the Carabinieri Investigative Unit are the suspects' cell phones, which will be forensically copied. Investigators will likely analyze them to determine whether any messages were exchanged with the victim and his friend to plan the meeting in Monserrato.
We are seeking definitive confirmation and corroboration of the reconstruction according to which the meeting took place for the purchase of a batch of drugs , which then led to an assault for the purpose of robbery and finally to murder.
