Tragedy struck Monserrato this morning, with a fire breaking out on the terrace of a house on Via Casteldoria. The homeowner was working on the waterproofing membrane when, suddenly, for reasons yet to be determined, the fire broke out.

The man, in addition to inhaling carbon monoxide, suffered severe burns and was taken to Brotzu Hospital with critical condition. Alerted by the smoke and flames, neighbors called the fire department, whose intervention prevented the blaze from engulfing the entire home or spreading to surrounding buildings.

On the night of August 15th, another fire on Via Cabras required the intervention of teams from the Viale Marconi command, who rescued four people.
