Stopped on state road 554 in the Monserrato area driving a car, a 56-year-old was subjected to an alcohol test which returned a result more than double that allowed. The carabinieri have withdrawn his license which will be turned over to the prefecture for any administrative sanctions. Meanwhile, he was criminally charged for driving under the influence of alcohol . The car was not impounded because the suspect did not turn out to be the owner.
